MoJo43 & OCCC !!!

Another hetic week and didn't get much done in cardmaking.
So glad our big catering for the Ladies Aux.this past week
went off without any problems.We are all finish till the fall.
I am also on vacation this week, and will be going away for a
couple of days, but hoping to get caught up on a few projects.
Today was kind of a lazy day for me, I mostly lazed around the house
and tonight I put together this card for Julee's Mojo34.
It also qualifies for OCCC challenge, where you had to use Basic grey
pattern paper.
I just recently got this paper and its so pretty, I couldn't wait to cut into it.
I also used Verve's petals & stems stamp. I can't seem to put this stamp away.
I reach for it all the time.

Basic Grey "Sugared Collection".
Verve stamps, MA ribbon, Mm rhinestones,
Scallop border using fiskars threading water punch.

Here is this week's card for 2sketches4You.
The sketch this week is Kazans.What a beautiful
sketch.If you haven't checked out their blog, then
please go and do so.They post a new sketch every Monday.
When I saw this sketch, the first thing that came to my mind
was this paper from MM"Be Inspired".I knew I had to use it for
this card.

Here are the details;Black cardstock and a piece of MM paper
cut using the curve edge of the paper.A piece of black trim from my stash and then a piece of black ribbon layered over the trim.Creative Imaginations epoxy flowers with rhinestone centers and sentiment to finish off the card.
A very fast and easy card.I was pleased how it looked.

MoJo#42, SCS181, OCCC Challenges!!

Wow, Where has the time gone,hard to believe
the month of June soon be gone.Its been a very busy
month for me, with work and volunteering at the fire hall,
I've had little time to card make.I am president of Ladies Aux.
for the fire dept. and we do a lot of catering to fund raise.
We have one more catering to do on Wed. for a grad class of 375,
then we will be finish for the summer.We take the summer off as
many members are vacationing and not around.We pick back up again
in Sept., but don't get busy till late Nov. when xmas parties pick up.
Another week of work ,Dh and I go on vacation.I can't wait to relax and do nothing, well maybe do a few cards,lol.We will be going away for a couple of days , but mostly visiting the rest of NS, which I haven't seen.NS is a beautiful
province and its a must see for any one who hasn't visited.

This card also fits Creative corner Challenge, which was to use
at least one button and one brad.
I colored the Owls with water color pencils.

Exciting news!!

WooHoo,I just got some exciting News.I received an email
saying my Birthday card was selected to appear in
Creative Paper magazine.I am so excited, I am doing my
little happy dance,lol. Its an Australian magazine.

I also won a Cards magazine from Tammy"s blog.

Mojo#41. What a wonderful sketch Julee
created for her mojo this week.
I just loved this sketch and will be using it again .
I finally cut into my K&Co Blue Awning pad.The papers in this
pad are awesome. The colors are so rich looking.I simply love it.

Simple Pleasures!!

Floral Whimsy set.
Simple pleasures can mean so much, for me its a pleasure
just to be able to do something I love.And I love creating
cards.Its gives me great joy to take papers and create

Good to be back!!

Wow, Its been 2 weeks since I made any cards,
and its good to back creating again.I had my little
granddaughter Avery visiting me for awhile and it was so
nice.
I started this card before the visit and didn't get it finish,
I tried several times this past week and just couldn't
get my mojo to work.So , today I finally got it finished.
I used my new VV stamps. I am loving these stamps.
Julee did an awesome job designing them.


I also started this card and didn't get it finished
in time for last weeks MoJo #39.

Circle Nesties, Su stamps.

Mojo#40.

I found this sketch very challenging, but once I
settled on what paper and embellies I wanted to use,
it went together rather fast.
Deja Views pattern paper, Circle nestibilities,
Walmart ribbon,$store chipboard flower&Mr&Mrs.,
K&Co rhinestones.Added some glitter with a glitter pen.

I am working on a couple more cards and

My Sweet Angel!!

To all my blogging friends, I haven't posted anything
in over a week because I was spending time with my precious
angel, My granddaughter Avery.
My DS, DDIL and my beautiful DGD were visitng me from Ont.
She is 6 mths old and so adorable, I couldn't get enough of her.
She is such a sweet little angel,so very pleasant and full of smiles.
I loved bathing her , feeding her, and holding her, kissing her.
Was so sad to see her leave.
I am planning on visiting her in Sept.I can't wait to hear her call
me Nan.


I took many pics of her, but I so loved these pics of her.
MY son brought CD's of pics and I saved them to my PC.
These 2 pics were taken just before they came home.

I will be back later with some cards. I started some cards before the
visit but didn't get time to finish them.
