Winter Wonderland....

Hello again and indeed it is Winter Wonderland.
WE got hit over the weekend with lots and lots of snow.
We were suppose to get a couple of inches and got over a couple of feet.
Put that with the wind, we got some drifting and lots of whiteouts.
Most everything was closed on Friday.

Todays challenge on Stamptacular Sunday was to get creative with
the Winter Blues.To create a card or project with a winter theme
using only blues and whites.With the storm we had ,it got me in the mood for this card.Isn't this just the cutest little snowman?

The Sugar Creek Hollow Design Team and I have been working hard behind the scene creating cards to share with you for the Grand Opening. We couldn't resist holding back!! We want to share with you just a preview of what is to come.

For my card I used one of the Fancy Frames.I paired it up with the Fleur De Lis
Nesties.I cut two and layer them.I printed the frame on some white cardstock and cut with one of the labels nesties.I added a brad with the word Love.
I used Su papers.
Added some Offray ribbon.

A True Friend ......

Hi and welcome back to another MoJo Monday.
Todays sketch is so fun, It was designed by the talented Teresa.You can make either a round or square card or both,lol.
I did both.I used the same paper as I did for my last post.
My room is still a mes,s and I can barely see my desk, but this paper was still setting out.I worked all week plus the whole weekend, and 3 nights
at that, so needless to say, not much got done in my room this week.
I am hoping that today I can make some headway with it and get caught up on some work I have to do for my other design team.
I am not sure how everyone did their circle card with the scallops, I would love to know.I believe I did it the hard way,lol.
Anyone want to share how they fold their circle cards with the scalllops?

It was very easy to follow and I had fun with it.
The center panel twirls and pops up when open.Very neat.
I sorta used the OCC sketch and used a rectangle in place of the oval.

I have to work today :(, plus I worked all week and all weekend, so not much done to my room and not much cardmaking done.

Hopefully by next weekend I will have most of it organized.

I Love You To Pieces....

Welcome back .....
Wow, this weeekend off, flew by way to fast.
Dh and I have been very busy all weekend trying to get my scraproom
all organized.I moved into this room over a year ago because it was a tad bit
bigger and it had more wall space for shelves and pegboard,etc.
Because I was in a hurry to move in,shelves and pegboard got installed but it
wasn't working for me.I had to much stuff,lol, and it didn't get put away
properly.I had talked to Dh, about doing some rearranging to make it work better and be able to find my things easily.So, this is what we have been doing all weekend.He installed more shelves, added some more pegboard and I have
been going thru all my stuff.I have one side of the room about done, it will take me all week to finish this off, since I have to work as well.
I can't believe how much stuff I was hoarding. I have filled 2 garbage bags
with empty boxes, paper, containers, etc.I am also purging and have filled a couple of shopping bags with some paper , stickers, etc I will never use and I haven't even gone thru my racks of paper yet.DH put in more racks, so I can sort my paper and cardstock better.
I have someone in mind who I think can use some of the things I am purging.
Hopefully, she can take some of it.
Needless to say , in the middle of all this is my desk and I can't even find the
top,lol.
I manage to clean off a space to work on my cards for this weekend.

Good MoJo Monday Morning.
Welcome to another awesome sketch.
For my card, I used up some more of the same paper as I did on
my last 2 cards.It was still setting on my desk and I love expermenting
with the different color combos.
I used my new MS Topiary border punch my daughter bought me for Christmas.
I also used my new MS water Lily punch.I went into the city to Michaels yesterday and saw the MS water Lily punches and picked both of them up.
They had the punches on for 30% off plus I used a coupon for 20% off total
purchases.So got an awesome deal on some things yesterday.

Sorry this is late posting, I thought I had it schedule to post with the Stamptacular post, but for some reason it didn't.

I was gone most of the day, I went to Michaels and then as soon as I got

home I took down my Christmas tree and decorations and packed it away.

Just realized it wasn't posted.

Exciting News!

2010 started out with some exciting news.Tracey over at
Sugar Creek Hollow asked me to part of her first design team.
I am so excited to part of this team, I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.

This is a card I created using a image that Tracey sent to us.
I had fun using this digital image on my card.I printed the image on white
Cs and then the green, cut out the heart from the green and glued it to the
white cs.Added some little pearls.
This heart image will be so versatile for Valentines, Weddings, Anniversies,etc.

Valentine Candy Set.

Hi and welcome back to another Stamptacular Challenge.
The challenge for this week is "Party Time"
Create a PROJECT that you can use at or for a party...any kind of party! Can be invitations, party favors, decorations or anything else you'd use or need at a party.
I wasn't sure what I was gonna make for this challenge,but knew I didn't want to make any thing Christmas or wintery.
I was surfing blog land and came across this cute little project Andrea had created for Valentines and then knew what I was gonna make.
I had purchased these little plastic containers at M's some time ago and modified the little tote to fit.I also wanted to make a card to go along with this
tote and remembered this Champagne card template from Mirkwoods.
I also found these 2 plastic glasses from the $store among my stash.
Next I went thru my stash of paper and found this yummy paper from
MM.I had picked up a package of cinnamon hearts and then remembered
I had some red and white candy among my Christmas stash.
I filled each of the 3 containers with candy.

I made the little vellum envie on the front of the box.

It holds the little "You're Red Hot Tag"

Believe Set !

A project I kept promising to post and just now getting it done.
A birthday set for a very special person.......My Sister.
It was my sister's birthday awhile back and I had started this set for her ,but didn't get it done in time for her birthday.I kept putting it off to finish, not sure why, but when I saw the Believe set that Julee had designed ,I knew how I wanted to finish off this set.So I dug it out and waited for the set to arrive in my mailbox.
My sister is a Survivor and I knew she would love this.She follows my blog and always telling me how much she loves the things I do.I knew she would adore and treasure this.

Because she is following my blog, that is why I didn't post it when I had it done. I wanted her to see it first before she saw it on my blog.

Needless to say , it was way late for her birthday and I postpone mailing it till I

mailed out her Christmas gifts.
I know I am bad with mailing out cards and things on time, but she forgave me

when she saw it,lol.

She did get her Christmas gifts on time!

Journal and inside front cover.

I started out first with this journal, knowing that she would love to have one from one of the comments she had said to me awhile ago.

I found this journal in the $ bin at Michaels along with the rest of the things I used for this project.I've had this stuff for awhile, as I am always going thru the

bin for things I can alter for a later date.The journal had red on the front and back and I covered it using some matching cardstock, using one of my labels nesties.

I stamped the flower stamps many many times , cut them out,and layered them.Added some glitter with a pen to finish them off. Pop dotted them.

I modified it a bit bigger to hold my cards.I made the box out of a matching file folder that I got at Michaels, plus used up some of the smaller pieces on the cards.I also took apart the box the pen came in as it was red and used it for my template to make a box to match for the pen.

I found a set of playing cards and some magnets to match and decorated them

up using the yummy flower stamp in the Believe set.Added some ribbon.

Book Mark with Clip

The book mark was made using 2 pieces of the file folder , stuck together using some score tape.The folder was very sturdy and the 2 pieces made a very nice bookmark.

I also found this black clip which I used to attach to the bookmark.

I cut a circle from some of the scraps left from the folder and added to the clip.

After I had all this done , I wonder how I was gonna finish all of this off to showcase it, to mail this to her , she lives in NL.

So I went searching thru my stuff and I found this white box I had purchased from Michaels a long time ago, gotta love Michaels. It was so long I forgot I even had it,lol.

I covered it with another file folder, added some ribbon around the box and finished it off, using nesties labels cut from matching card stock.

Everything fitted inside the box.

My sister was totally in love with it.
